Welcome to the Write Anything submissions page. Here you can submit content to the site.
If you are submitting a set of prompts to be used in PROMPTed, then please use the first submission category.
If you are submitting a guest post for consideration, then please use the second submission category.
Please note that we can't accept fiction, and that requests for consideration as a regular writer should not be made via the submissions manager, but via the contact form on the main website.
PROMPTed
PROMPTed is a weekly collection of writing prompts to inspire your writing week. The prompts are loosely grouped under a common theme and include a random line prompt, a photograph, a song/music video, a sensory suggestion and a famous quote. If you are interested in being a Guest Programmer for PROMPTed then please use this form to submit your prompts (along with the relevant links for multimedia). Please also include a 50-word bio and a little on what inspired you to select these prompts.
After being reviewed by an editor, we will get in touch with you to let you know if we will be using your prompts, and on what date.
Guest Post Submissions
We don't have too many guidelines for our articles. The main thing to keep in mind is that your article has to be related to writing. Define that as you will: genre, plotting, characterisation, writing tools, techniques, tips. Keep the focus of the article on the who, what, when, where, why and how of writing and you won't go wrong. We also ask you to bear in mind the ethos of our site: what we call our Vision Statement. If you want the full vision statement, then go to http://wa.emergent-publishing.com/vision/ but the short version is that we are an inclusive, egalitarian, cross-genre global community of writers.
All submissions should be original content written by you; that should go without saying. By submitting you are affirming that the work is your own.
Finally, we prefer original content. If the piece you are submitting has been published previously on your own blog, then we could accept it, but we'd prefer you to modify the piece. If it was published anywhere else previously, we won't accept it, as the other publisher may hold the necessary rights.
Now that I've got that out of the way, the floor is yours. Let's hear what you've got to say.
